Kollin Thompson from Niles is 8 years old. He has autism and he was very interested in learning
about soap and wood carving.  He was so focused on his project that we couldn't get him to look up
and smile to take the picture...but Marcia got a wonderful big hug for teaching him to carve a horse
head! Thank you Kollin!
Laura Flanigan, 10, of Niles, Michigan carved a
beautiful bride to match her beautiful smile.  
Laura learned about being creative and flexible
with her carving, and she learned how to do a
stop cut!  Thank you Laura for carving with us!
This is Mandy Moisoff, 9 and her sister Megan Moisoff, 7, of
Glendale, Arizona.  Mandy (left) carved a Zuni Bear and Megan
(right) carved an angel! They did a terrific job and they should be
proud of their carvings! We are! Thank you both for carving with us!
Latasha from Dowagiac is 8 years old and
she carved a beautiful angel! She had fun
and wants to carve more soap at home.

Summer from Mishawaka is 5 years old.
She was the first carver to try carving a

Amani Scott of Niles is 6 years old. She was
the first carver to try a relief carving. She
carved a really cool polar bear!  Thank you
for carving with us! We had fun!
Cole Grimm is 6 years old and he carved a
Zuni bear. Cole wanted his bear to stand on a
platform, so we used an extra bar of soap to
make it. He was really happy and he did a
great job! Thank you Cole for carving with us.
Taylor Grimm is only 4 years old and she made
an amazing flower! Her smile is so ready to
burst out into a laugh! She loved carving with us
and we enjoyed having her. Thank you Taylor!

Six at a time was the most we could handle!
Aaron, 11, carved a really neat horse's head and Heather, 10,
carved an adorable angel. They had a great time carving with us
and we enjoyed having them!
It was snowing Cottonwood all weekend!
This is Cole from Dowagiac
concentrating on his carving.
Cole is 6 years old and he
carved a beautiful angel. Cole
wanted to go home and carve
more soap. Cole really loved
learning  about soap carving
and he said he would come
back next year to carve with us
again! We sure hope he does!
Laura Flanigan, 10, of Niles, Michigan came back the next day with
her cousin Rachel, 9, of South Bend to carve again. Laura carved a
Zuni bear this time and Rachel carved a relief frog! Thank you
Laura and Rachel for carving with us!
Kristian, 10, carved a terrific turtle! Brittany, 10, carved a cool cloud,
and Kameron, 6, worked really hard all by himself to carve an elephant!
These children were from Niles.  Thank you all for carving with us!
Alexis is 5 years old and she made a fantastic
flower! She worked really carefully and was
very proud of her accomplishment. Thank you

It was Cindy's 15th birthday and she carved a lovely angel! Her brother Kasey  
is 9 years old and he carved a really special  Scotty dog !  Cindy and Kasey
are from Granger. Thanks!  We had lots of fun carving with you!

Mallory, 12, from Plymouth, and Mercedez, 8, from Buchanan, carved
a relief heart! Cameron, 8, from Plymouth, carved a top-notch turtle!
We really enjoyed having them carve with us! Thanks for coming to
the Bluegrass Festival!
My 9 year old grand-daughter Elizabeth from Plymouth
carved a gorgeous relief frog for her mother on the day
after the festival! You cannot see the frog in this picture,
but she did a really great job!
