Artist/Carver
My interest in birds and carving began early on in life but flourished while I was living in the area known as
Cape Ann (Gloucester and Rockport, MA). I began carving mostly waterfowl in the late 1980’s. By the mid
1990’s, I was teaching carving classes, involved in running a carving organization and producing as well
as competing . My interest in birds led me to carving birds of prey, song birds, shorebirds and sea birds
as well as waterfowl. The expression “too many birds and not enough time” was catching up to me.
